Surfing

It is believed that surfing began in Hawaii and Tahiti where ancient Polynesians learned to ride waves on a boards. Surfing is a competition against nature as much as it is a contest between competing athletes.

A panel of judges determines the winners, with scoring based on the type and difficulty of manoeuvresperformed, along with speed, power and flow.
