Tokyo Olympics - Equestrian

Tokyo 2020

Equestrian

Equestrian made its official debut at Stockholm 1912 after being featured in Paris 1900. Until 1948, only men could compete as the riders had to be military officers. Women have competed with men in the mixed events since Helsinki 1952, first in dressage then in other disciplines.

Men and women compete on equal terms in three disciplines, in individual and team events.
